Huckleberry Finn

- There was a 14 year old white boy by the name of huck who was still trying to find himself through his foster parents. Soon after a time he reached the point when he met his father who he thought was dead and had to go live with him. The problems with him and his father was very dangerous, because his father did not want huck to be better than him even though it was to late for that. Then there came a time when huck was tired of his foster parents trying to force him into something he was not and his abusive father, those things made huck drift away down the Mississippi River.

- After times of living alone he runs into the runaway slave by the name of Jim. As he encounters jim they go on many adventures and meeting people and learning as they did. As they moved all round huck began to understand how blacks where considered and looked as and treated. However, huck really liked jim and thats why they were close friends and went on the journey together as partners. They encountered people that tested huck and made him do things that was very unexpected but huck and jim where still what they were when they both started on the journey as two runways.

A Lesson before Dying - chapter 3-4 discussion questions Chapter 3 1. Mr. Pichot had no doubt in his mind that jefferson did it and really didn't care much about jefferson. Meaning that he didn't want to help him and he wanted him to pay for a crime that he think jefferson committed. 2. Hey, my name is Grant and im a teacher for african American kids and my teaching skills have been tested on teaching someone something that they already are and I need advice on how to tell a man that he isn't a hog. People have called him that and it stuck with him now he is acking like a hog. He has had incidents to where when i gave him food he ate it like a hog. He has said verbally that be is a hog but thats only because thats what they want him to think. He is really a good man that was found guilty of a crime that he didn't commit. He was just in the store with liquor in his hand but he didn't kill anybody. Since he is an African American they want to say he guilty and call him out his name. I want to help but it's challenging in a way.What can i do or say that will help me get the idea of him being a hog out his head to him knowing that he is a man just like me and i can get this big responsibility off my shoulders ?
